In-person option! Making our way back to in-person events after four-and-a-half years online!
Thursday, October 10, the Lab and South Seattle College are thrilled to present environmental scientist, speaker, and author, Mike Dieterich, for an engaging discussion around Net Zero Energy. This presentation will interest sustainability professionals, corporate planners, municipal leaders, educators, and anyone interested in zero energy and carbon reduction strategies.
We're able to have 60 attendees in-person at South Seattle, as well as our usual virtual option. Get there early to grab a coffee and say hello to industry colleagues.
The presentation will cover net zero in three phases. Phase 1: Zero Energy Design, for buildings with a bit of zero carbon; Phase 2: Corporate Zero Energy Planning and Roadmapping; Phase 3: Zero Energy and Carbon Applications in Districts like schools or municipalities and the integration of planning. Each phase will be followed by a Q&A session to dive deeper into the topics.
What will be learned:
- Understanding of Zero Energy Design principles
- Strategies for achieving zero carbon in various settings
- Integration of zero energy and carbon planning in municipalities
- Optimization and resilience planning techniques
- Insights into sustainability and decarbonization efforts
- Steps to achieve net zero energy and zero waste
