Figure 1
This project is a city block long and runs along a main thoroughfare in
Reno, Nevada. Since the existing building was obscure, the design team
decided to minimize the building length and attract the attention of people
as they passed by in automobiles by creating a monumental "graphic
wall".

Figure 2
The "wall" is a large structure of woven stainless steel lighted
by automated color mixing luminaires located on the canopy roof below.
The fixtures can wash the wall with white light

...or with color. Some of the fixtures can also employ projection capability
to support the use of gobos for representational graphics, as well. Control
is by the master computer and DMX protocol software. The scene can be
easily modified to any user's specifications or event.

Figure 4
The wall combines with a canopy structure to provide a shaded walkway
for pedestrians below. Fluorescent fixtures located above shine through
the canopy screen to light the walkway below. The face of each Column
is washed with an adjustable metal halide accent fixture.

Figure 5
Pole luminaires along with companion bollards are used to add interest
and pedestrian scale to the expanse of the plaza.

Figure 6
The drop-off roadway can be blocked to accommodate the plaza's use
for outdoor events. All the site lighting is controlled via the master
computer. Project budgetary goals were achieved and energy efficient light
sources were employed.

At night, this venue offers an elegant and exciting place to hold
an event.
